From Concept to 99.9% Performance
Launching a new operation is never just about a building. It’s about people, planning, technology, alignment, and execution.
In 2024, the vision for a new Buckland & Aumovio distribution facility in Laredo began taking shape — a multi-partner initiative involving companies and government bodies across the US, Mexico, and Canada. With dozens of stakeholders aligned around a shared goal, the project set out to build a stable, high-performance cross-border logistics operation capable of supporting complex automotive requirements.

Fast-forward to today, and that vision stands fully realized.
Over the first half year of operations, the facility has grown into a coordinated operation of more than 50 talented staff, supported by strong leadership, detailed processes, and integrated technology. Together, the teams have achieved 99.9% KPIs across thousands of daily movements, a level of performance that speaks to discipline, collaboration, and pride in the work.

Last week’s ribbon-cutting ceremony wasn’t just a formal celebration — it was a recognition of the people who made it happen. Leaders, operational teams, warehouse staff, cross-border partners, and supporting organizations all came together to build something that will strengthen supply chains on both sides of the border.
RWIC is proud to have been part of this journey from conception to launch and now into a stable, high-performing operation. This project represents what’s possible when strategy, operations, and technology move in sync — and when good people pull in the same direction.
Here’s to what comes next.
